Coquitlam’s only brewery is hosting its own version of Hot Ones.
On Feb. 19, Mariner Brewing will borrow from the celebrity talk show by staging a hot wings challenge.
And the business is partnering with Gladstone Sauce to bring on eight levels of heat.
Tickets at $25 to take part in the tolerance test include:
- eight wings
- coated with increasingly spicy sauces
- a pint of Mariner beer
- a glass of milk
The 19+ contest starts at 7 p.m. at Mariner Brewing (H-1100 Lansdowne Dr., Coquitlam) and spectators are welcome to cheer on the contestants.
As well, bottles of Gladstone’s new product will be on sale at the feast.
Hot Ones is a popular YouTube show where host Sean Evans asks his celebrity guests questions about their life and recent work as they try to complete the round of spicy chicken wings.
