Signs for Madame Danh have gone up at 4288 Fraser St. in East Vancouver advertising a new restaurant.

After 17 years on Fraser Street, Golden Joy quietly closed down earlier this year.

The tiny cafe at 4288 Fraser St., which opened up in 2007, specialized in Filipino foods and other Asian dishes like pork spring rolls, rice and adobo, and bbq pork noodles.

The longtime restaurant quietly closed earlier in 2024, but it's space won't be empty long.

Signs for Madame Danh have been put up, announcing a new restaurant.

A social media account for Madame Danh states the new spot will offer up "contemporary Vietnamese cuisine."

"A new culinary journey is on the horizon!" reads the only post on Instagram so far. "Join us as we prepare to open our doors."

An opening date nor a menu have been released at this time.
