“Donuts – is there anything they can’t do?”
Those famous words were uttered by one Homer J. Simpson, and I see no reason to disagree with that statement.
The problem in Burnaby is there are few places where really good donuts are available. (Sorry, don’t mention a certain national chain to me – those are not what I would call “really good donuts.”)
No, to find really good donuts you need to get your hands on the items offered up by Royal City Donuts, which doesn’t have a brick-and-mortar shop yet. You usually have to find them at markets.
Or at Glenburn Soda Fountain.
Like, this Sunday.
The Burnaby ice cream shop continues to offer cool ideas to customers with the addition of Donut Sundays.
Launching Sunday, Nov. 8, Glenburn will be open from 9 to 11 a.m. offering drip and whole bean coffee for sale, and donuts by the single, half dozen or dozen.
Glenburn Soda Fountain is located at 4090 Hastings St in Burnaby Heights. Eat-in is not available at this time.
