Stars, they're just like us: They love it when they get great restaurant recommendations.
That's the case for rising music star Gracie Abrams, who was in town for a few days to perform at a few shows.
Abrams was the opening act for Taylor Swift, thrilling crowds in Vancouver at BC Place with a set showcasing her musical prowess and popular songs (including the current hit "That's So True,") for each of the three nights of the Eras Tour. Abrams also joined Swift onstage on Saturday night for an acoustic duet of Swift's "Last Kiss" and Abrams' "I Love You, I'm Sorry."
While in Vancouver, Abrams seems to have enjoyed at least one great local meal, showing off her takeout bag from Commercial Drive's The Lunch Lady with a big heart around it on her Instagram stories.
The singer also posted a slide on her stories thanking SNL star Bowen Yang for recommending the spot; earlier this year while in town to film a remake of The Wedding Banquet, Yang dined at the Vietnamese restaurant.
Yang certainly had a great experience working in Vancouver. At the end of June, he shared on his Instagram that the project had wrapped, and shared his love for the city: "Vancouver rules!!!"
When it comes to the Vancouver food scene, The Lunch Lady also rules. The Lunch Lady opened in 2020 and is known for its bold, vibrant, contemporary take on Vietnamese cuisine. In 2022, it was named among the first crop of "Bib Gourmand" (aka value-driven) options on the first-ever Michelin Guide list of Vancouver restaurants.
The Lunch Lady is among the many fantastic restaurant options on East Van's bustling Commercial Drive, aka The Drive, named one of the world's coolest streets earlier this year.
Vancouverite and star Seth Rogen also popped into the restaurant this spring. The Lunch Lady shared pics of the celeb encounter on its social media.
