A new Japanese restaurant is launching soon on Vancouver's Robson Street, specializing in sushi handrolls.
Hello Nori is prepping to open soon at 1165 Robson Street.
The restaurant venture has been teasing sushi fans on their social media pages for several months now, sharing their goals for Hello Nori and details about what to expect from the menu.
"We're elevating the traditional Japanese cuisine in Vancouver to a fresher and unique dining experience," says Hello Nori. "[W]e believe it is our duty to serve you only the finest cuisine, giving you a chance to not only taste but embrace the authentic Japanese culture."
The handroll selection at Hello Nori will emphasize the integrity of the ingredients, from the nori (seaweed) sheets to the rice and fish held within.
"The mark of what makes our Hand Rolls unique is the crispiness of the nori, the warm perfectly seasoned rice in combination with fresh high-quality fish."
Look for options like spicy salmon, ebi (shrimp) or a chunky chopped scallop, for example, as well as the more luxurious truffle lobster. They'll also be pouring premium grade matcha green tea.
"It's all about the best carefully selected ingredients that make all the difference in combination with the passion that goes into the preparation that makes incredible food," adds Hello Nori.
An official opening day has not been revealed just yet, though we do know they had been aiming to get rolling this winter; follow @hellonori on Instagram for further updates. We last heard January 2021 would be when the doors would open.
In the meantime, check out a few more photos they've shared on Instagram as they prepare to launch:
