Vancouver's Felix Zhou may not get to be the winning chef-testant on this season of Top Chef Canada, but he does have something else very exciting in the works: A second location of his restaurant, Heritage Asian Eatery.
Heritage 2.0 is going into the vacated Chronic Tacos space at 382 West Broadway. Chronic Tacos, by the way, is headed north to a new space by Waterfront Station.
Zhou and the Heritage team are already at work tackling the interior of the former taco shop near Cambie Street.
Heritage Asian Eatery is known for its modern, playful take on dishes like rice bowls, bao (buns), chicken wings, and matcha dessert dumplings.
Super popular with lunchtime crowds, Heritage's og Coal Harbour location also offers dinner service. The casual counter-service spot has been a hit with locals, tourists, Instagrammers, and critics alike.
For the second Heritage Asian Eatery, expect about 40 seats in the 2,300 square-foot space, and a menu that aligns closely with the original, but with more room for specials and possibly additional items.
It's early in the remodel stages, and lots of details are still being sorted, so we'll keep you posted on the opening.
