With a slogan of "Brewed with aloha," the spirit of the Pacific's beautiful Hawaiian islands is at the core of the Honolulu Coffee experience at their two Vancouver cafes. Now Honolulu Coffee has revealed plans to add a third location to its roster, taking over a former Blenz cafe in Olympic Village.
Honolulu Coffee will be setting up shop at 97 W 2nd Ave in a 985-square-foot space with 25 seats and a dog-friendly patio.
On the menu will be signature drinks Honolulu Coffee fans know and love, like Hawaiian Cream Cold Brew (cold brew topped with macadamia nut and coconut flavoured cream cap), the Hawaiian Latte (sweetened with a hint of coconut and macadamia nut flavours), and Iced Blue Jasmine Green Tea. Look for their full menu of espresso-based beverages, brewed coffee using their Kona-roasted beans, and sips like an açai smoothie and cans of tropical Hawaiian Sun fruit drinks. Plus, you can always count on Honolulu Coffee having a tasty creation as part of the city's popular annual Hot Chocolate Festival.
Additionally, the new Olympic Village outpost will feature a food menu offering pastries like Guava Bread, croissants, cookies, and other treats, as well as health-minded eats like Hawaiian Açai Bowls, Kona White BBQ Turkey Sandwiches, and Bacon Breakfast Sandwiches.
“Aloha means love, peace, compassion, and a mutual understanding of respect. These are the values we strive to deliver our customers and community across all our locations,” said Ming Yang, owner of all three Vancouver Honolulu Coffee locations, in a media release. “We want to serve the False Creek neighbourhood with a different approach to coffee, and to give high-quality service along with a fresh take on cafe meals and beverages.”
While the new Honolulu Coffee won't be open until sometime this fall, that won't stop the biz from a little early celebration. All guests at Honolulu Coffee’s two existing Vancouver locations can receive a free drip Kona coffee on Monday, Aug. 22 and Tuesday, Aug. 23 at Honolulu Coffee Downtown (888 Nelson St.) and Kerrisdale (2098 W 41st Ave.).
