'We're back!': International hot pot chain reopens Vancouver location six-month closures

Vancouver has once again reached its Boiling Point

Boiling Point, an international hot pot chain, has reopened its Vancouver location in Mount Pleasant.

In August 2024, Boiling Point shut down its Vancouver location.

At the time, it was unclear if the international hot pot chain would return to its 4148 Main St. location at a later date, re-open elsewhere, or leave the city permanently.

It turns out it was the first option.

Mount Pleasant is once again home to the only Boiling Point in Vancouver proper (though there are locations in Burnaby and Richmond). The Taiwanese hot pot restaurant reopened on Main Street on Feb. 10, 2025.

"Vancouver, we’re back!" reads a post on Facebook.

Boiling Point started in California in 2004 and opened its first location in Canada in 2010. The Vancouver location originally opened in November of 2017. The international hot soup chain has 25 locations in the U.S., Japan, and Canada.
