Boiling Point, an international hot pot chain, has shut down it's location in Vancouver's Mount Pleasant neighbourhood.

After more than six years on Main Street, Boiling Point has closed.

Boiling Point started in California in 2004 and grew over the years, opening its first location in Canada in 2010 and its only City of Vancouver location at 4148 Main St. in November of 2017.

It shuttered in August.

"We are truly disheartened to announce that our Vancouver location will be closing indefinitely," reads the sign.

It's unclear if the restaurant plans on reopening again at the location, elsewhere, or at all. The business license for the address is still active, but the location has been removed from Boiling Point's website.

The international hot soup chain has 23 locations in the USA, Japan, and Canada; on its site it notes opening a location in China as well, but it's unclear if it's still open.

Locations in Burnaby and Richmond are still serving customers, according to their website, including their soups, sweet milks, and appetizers like spicy fermented tofu.
