An upcoming one-time brunch pop-up happening in Vancouver is one good reason not to oversleep, because if you snooze you will lose out on the chance to experience a Jewish deli and breakfast mash-up like none other.
Known for their worth-lining-up-for hand-sliced hot pastrami sandwiches, Mensch. Jewish Delicatessen is sliding into the AM territory with their Brunch Edition pop-up on Sunday, February 16 at Kafka's Coffee on Great Northern Way.
The mouth-watering menu features some seriously tempting fare, inclduing Hot Pastrami Shakshuka on a Latke, Eggs on Lox, and Bubbe’s Sweet Cheesecake Blintzes with fruit jam, as well as midday eats like their Reuben sandwich, egg salad on challah, and - of course! - their classic Hot Pastrami Sandwich.
There will be coffee, juice, beer, wine, and pop available, too.
The last three times Mensch popped up with their Hot Pastrami, by the way, they sold out of the goods, so make sure to set your alarm - the event gets underway at 11 a.m. and runs until they run out of food.
For those who like to eat their pastrami in the evening, Mensch says they'll be doing another nighttime pop-up on February 29.
