Two Rib & Chicken Korean restaurant locations in Vancouver closed over the summer, along with two others in the Lower Mainland.

A local restaurant chain that had six locations across the region at the beginning of 2023 has closed several, including two in Vancouver.

Rib & Chicken opened in Langley in 2017, specializing in Korean BBQ and deep-fried chicken. Over the next few years, the brand spread out with locations in West Point Grey, East Vancouver, and Marpole, along with ones in Port Moody and Chilliwack.

Earlier this year all were still being advertised, but since the spring it appears four of the locations have quietly closed; only the Marpole and original Langley locations remain open for business.

Of the other four, on Google, only the Chilliwack location is listed as permanently closed. The other three are listed as temporarily closed, though evidence in the real world suggests otherwise.

The West Point Grey location at 4443 W 10th Ave. is empty with all signs for Rib & Chicken removed.

Meanwhile, the East Vancouver location at 1660 Renfrew St. has been replaced by Kuro Sushi and Bar.

In Port Moody, Sabor A Mexico has opened in the former location at 2517 St. Johns St. (where Charlie's Mexican Restaurant had been).
