A new Mexican grocery store is opening in Vancouver's Fairview neighborhood as local chain Don Chendo opens its third location, this time on Granville Street.

Another Mexican grocery store is opening in Vancouver's Fairview neighbourhood.

Just a couple of months after San Juanita opened up at the corner of Oak Street and West 16th Avenue, signs have gone up on Granville Street announcing a new location of Don Chendo Mexican Products is "coming soon."

The local, family-owned business is opening up a new store at 2715 Granville Street, near West 11th Avenue. That space was last occupied by Suetables, a Canadian jewellery store (that still has locations in Toronto and Montreal).

Don Chendo has two other locations currently open in North Vancouver and Burnaby. Their website also notes they're western Canada's largest wholesale seller of Mexican products, serving other stores and some restaurants.

Primarily they carry Mexican goods, including their own products (like chile peppers and sauces). There are also tortillas, Mexican cheeses, and drinks.

They have also expanded to offer other products from Latin America.

"Discover authentic Venezuelan and Colombian delights like Lechona, Arepas, and Empanadas, along with beloved brands such as Frescolita, Jugos Hit, and the complete Panna product line," reads the Don Chendo website.

No opening date has been announced for the new Vancouver Don Chendo store.
