Superbaba is expanding again.
The original opened in Victoria in 2017. Over the past eight years, the owners opened a food truck in Vancouver and a Mount Pleasant location (and won best casual restaurant thrice in the Vancouver Restaurant Awards).
And now they're moving into downtown Vancouver.
Co-owner Abdallah El Chami (aka The Dallah) has announced Superbaba will be opening up in the Post development at West Georgia and Homer Street.
"I finally found the perfect space for Superbaba’s return to downtown Vancouver," he writes in an Instagram post.
Details of the new Superbaba haven't been released, including when it will open and where in the Post it'll be set up. Signs have not been posted at the Post.
"Stay tuned for PR things and details, but I just want to share it first without all that stuff, so that it feels real," says Dallah in the post.
Vancouver Is Awesome has reached out for additional details.
Superbaba is also connected with Tacofino (through business partners Jason Sussman and Ryan Sprong) and Cafe Medina (through Robbie Kane). Dallah is also a partner in Mishmish.
