Burnout Cafe, a hub for motorcycle enthusiasts in Vancouver, announced that it is being forced to close in September, 2023.

Vancouver's motorbike-themed cafe is closing its doors.

Burnout Cafe serves as a hub for motorcycle enthusiasts where fans of the two-wheel vehicles could hang out, shop motorcycle-related gear and clothing, and even get a tattoo from a local artist.

The owner, who has nine motorbikes himself, also organized a three-day motorcycle show featuring all sorts bikes including custom builds, racers, and classics.

The cafe opened last year at 2034 East Hastings Street, taking over an old Tire Town that's been closed for a few years.

Now, the motorcycle hub announced that it is being forced to close.

"The Burnout Cafe building has been slotted to be torn down. This news has come sooner than we had expected," the cafe shares in an Instagram post on Sept. 2. "Better to burnout than fade away."

The cafe notes that their last day open will be on Sept. 24.

"We would like to thank all of you, our community, staff and friends for supporting us along the way."
