Earls is officially open as of Feb. 16 at Burnaby’s Brentwood town centre.
The restaurant is “designed with the Burnaby guest in mind,” according to a press release from Earls, and will be located on the plaza level of the Amazing Brentwood, just outside the Brentwood Town Centre SkyTrain station, at 4567 Lougheed Hwy.
As one Earls opens, the former location (Earls Bridge Park at 3850 Lougheed Hwy.) is now closed, with new Earls-owned restaurant Birdies Eats & Drinks set to open in its place.
The new location includes a lounge, dining room and “gorgeous island bar,” with outdoor seating for the perfect spot to people-watch on Brentwood Plaza.
Local Burnaby and B.C.-based artists Rande Cook, Tafui and Dina Gonzales are featuring their artwork on the restaurant’s walls.
The design of the new Earls is described as “modern design meets earth comfort,” according to lead designer Kimberly Hume and creative director Elly Chronakis.
“We wanted this Earls location to truly reflect the diversity, energy and lifestyle of the Burnaby guest,” said Kristin Vekteris, chief brand officer in the release. “Burnaby is a neighbourhood brimming with life, and many young families, students and millennials call Burnaby, and the Amazing Brentwood, home. This location is designed with them in mind.”
The menu, created by chef David Wong, will include fan favourites steak and truffle tortellini, a seafood platter and white chocolate crème brûlée. A variety of pizzas, including vegan kale and West Coast-inspired prawn pizza, will be served.
The restaurant will be open seven days a week and offer validated parking to guests dining in.
With weekend brunch (and brunch happy hour from 10 a.m. to noon), and daily happy hour features from 2 to 5 p.m., it likely won't take long for the spot to become a popular watering hole in Brentwood.
In Vancouver, the Earls Test Kitchen (905 Hornby St., Vancouver) and Earls Robson (1185 Robson St.) will temporarily close for renovations this year.

- Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 a.m.
- Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:45 a.m.
- Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.
Earls Brentwood happy hours and brunch:
- Happy Hour: Monday to Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close
- Brunch Happy Hour: Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon
- Brunch: Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
