A new dessert shop featuring Asian sweets and drinks has joined Richmond's dessert scene.
Polar Bear Sweet House has opened in Blundell Centre and offers Hong Kong-style desserts.
Its menu highlights traditional Chinese soup desserts like snow fungus pear soup, mochi rice balls in sweet wine soup, black sesame glutinous rice balls and ginger sweet potato dessert soups.
More common desserts on its menu include durian and mango mochi as well as osmanthus lychee goji jelly and mango coconut pudding.
Polar Bear Sweet House also makes their bubble waffles in-house with flavours ranging from the original to durian with cheese and Portuguese egg tart with matcha.
Classic Hong Kong milk tea, lemon tea, and salted plum lemon sparkling soda drinks are also on their menu.
Polar Bear Sweet House is open daily from 3:30 to 10 p.m. and is located at #115 - 6060 Blundell Rd.
