'We await you': New Mexican restaurant opens up on Vancouver's Denman Street

The new eatery boasts homemade tortillas, chilaquiles, ceviche, and a craft cocktail menu.

The Denman Street strip has a new stop for tacos, tequila, tostadas and more.

Los Chavos ("The Guys") opened earlier this month in the former home of Buckstop, the cozy BBQ joint that lasted for 10 years at 833 Denman St.

The new eatery boasts homemade tortillas, chilaquiles, ceviche, and a craft cocktail menu, including a 'Hot Canadian' which is simply a beer and shot of white tequila. And, of course, they have tacos and margaritas.

"We’ve already conducted our food and beverage tests, and we’re just waiting for you," operators write on the restaurant's Instagram.

Los Chavos opens daily at 3 p.m. From Wednesday to Saturday, the restaurant closes at 2 a.m., with earlier nights on Sunday (midnight) and Monday and Tuesday (12:30 a.m.).
