It's springtime, and that means the return of blossoms, beach days and burger deals.
The PattyPass is back with 11 options across the city (and even a bit outside the city). Created by local burger bloggers the Real Beef Buddies in 2021, the PattyPass offers discounts on local beefy (or meatless) sandwiches while raising funds for a good cause.
The $15 pass gets people 50 per cent off a featured burger at the different locations from May 1 to August 31, while $1 from each pass goes to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. This year, the pass comes with a trial membership to the RSVPlist's supper club.
At the end of the burger season, the Real Beef Buddies will take the results submitted from PattyPass participants and name Vancouver's best burger.
"Burger lovers can rate each location's featured burger on its appearance, first bite, patty, bun, toppings, sloppiness, last bite, and patty-to-bun ratio," say Burger Buddies in a press release.
While nine locations are in Vancouver, two are more of a road trip destination, with PKLS in Sechelt and Miller's Fries outside Pemberton.
This year's 11 participating places are:
- Between 2 Buns
- Blaze Gourmet Burgers
- Downlow Burgers
- El Guapo
- Fable Diner
- Fable Diner & Bar
- Popina Canteen
- Pourhouse
- Wally's Burgers
- Miller's Fries (the food truck at Pemberton's Beer Farmers Brewery)
- PKLS Burgers (in Sechelt)
