The Teahouse in Stanley Park
Stanley Park might be the perfect picnic spot in Vancouver, and now one of its premiere dining destinations has debuted a new Picnic in the Park program. And for this one, you don't have to lift a finger - not even to set out a blanket if you don't want to BYO. Available daily from noon to 10 p.m. guests can sit on checkered picnic blankets set up on the grassy areas outside the restaurant to enjoy an open-air meal of seasonal salads, sharing plates and casual entrees. Restaurant waitstaff will provide full service throughout the meal, and picnic stations will be spread out at least two metres apart to ensure physical distancing between parties and blankets will be laundered and sanitized thoroughly in between each use (but guests are welcome to bring their own blankets as well). The Teahouse's Picnic in the Park menu includes highlights such as a chef-selected Cheese and Charcuterie Board with warm olives and grilled baguette, Prawn Cocktail, Mediterranean Salad, and classic Fish & Chips. The lawn area is also fully licensed, so guests can partake in a selection of great-value beverages throughout their meal, including wine by the bottle starting at $29, local craft beers, and a selection of $8 cocktails like Pineapple Coconut Mojitos, Margaritas and Sangria made with fresh summer fruit.
