A popular restaurant known for its fresh pasta is adding a fourth Vancouver location to its roster.
Robba da Matti, which began once upon a time as Yaletown L'Antipasto, revealed this week they are renovating what will become their fourth restaurant.
With their original Yaletown address, their second outpost in the West End, and a third location in Gastown, Robba da Matti will also have a home in Kitsilano, having taken over the vacated space at 1898 West 1st Avenue, the restaurant confirmed with Vancouver Is Awesome via email.
Renovations have just gotten underway to turn the Kits restaurant that was previously home to Cacao - the Latin venture that closed down suddenly in summer 2019 - and the owners say they are hoping to get the doors open in December.
The menu at Robba da Matti focuses on traditional Italian dishes, including handmade pasta, risotto, and, as its original name indicates, antipasto, along with hearty mains, and plenty of wine. The West End location, on Haro Street, also serves weekend brunch.
