An Ontario bubble tea chain has entered the competitive bubble tea market in B.C. by opening its first location in Richmond Centre.
Real Fruit Bubble Tea, a brand that started in Toronto in 2002, has grown rapidly and now has more than 120 locations in Ontario, Quebec and on the East Coast of the U.S.
The brand specializes in smoothies, slushies, milk tea and other drinks made with real fruit and freshly brewed teas, according to the company, and their signature drink is Mango Diamond Slush, a drink made with fresh mango chunks.
"The Real Fruit Bubble Tea team knows mangoes like it's their superpower. They can pick out the perfect mango just by touching it," said the company in a press release.
The Richmond Centre store is set to open on Friday, Dec. 15.
The location will offer a "buy one get one free" promotion for Mango Diamond Slush from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 21 and 22.
There are currently six bubble tea shops in Richmond Centre and around 50 in Richmond.
