One of Vancouver's favourite indie coffee shops is expanding southward, as Prado Cafe preps to open up their first location in Surrey at the end of the month.
Prado Cafe's Surrey outpost is situated in the lobby of 3 Civic Plaza. The Surrey City Centre development includes a hotel and residences, and is Surrey's tallest tower.
This will be the fifth location for Prado Cafe. The coffee shop was launched in 2004, then taken over in 2011 by award-winning barista and passionate coffee expert Sammy Piccolo.
At the new location, Piccolo has said they will make food and treats in-house, serving up sandwiches and brunch dishes, as well as the to-be-expected coffee program, anchored by 49th Parallel beans.
Prado Cafe at 3 Civic Plaza is set to open on April 30.
