If you live, work, or play in Kitsilano on West Broadway, get ready to slide over to a new belt notch, because Purebread Bakery has opened up a brand new bakery cafe in the neighbourhood.
With a Friday, October 12 opening day, the third Vancouver location of the Whistler-based baked goods mecca slid into the space at 2887 West Broadway somewhat unannounced.
Purebread, known for their fresh-baked artisan-style breads, sandwiches, baked egg-based items, pastries, cookies, cakes, and bars, is fresh on the heels of launching their much-anticipated second full-service bakeshop cafe and production kitchen in Mount Pleasant at 5th and Ontario this summer.
They are a known staple at several Metro Vancouver farmers' markets, and have been a must-visit at their two Whistler locations for a few years now. Their first Vancouver location is located in Gastown.
The new Kitsilano location of Purebread is taking over the space formerly occupied by Cupcakes Bakery. The signage (so far) is subtle, with just window decals (and the scent of glorious baked goods) to beckon passers-by. There's seating for about 20 people inside, based on a quick eye-balling of the brand new space.
Purebread offers coffee service from their espresso bar, as well as fresh lemonade, and many of their pastry display selections work great as a decadent lunch--and you'll for sure want to load up with treats to go, too.
Purebread Bakery is located at 2887 West Broadway in Vancouver's Kitsilano.
