Local Vietnamese restaurant quietly closes one Richmond location

The chain hints at future plans that may excite fans.

A popular Vietnamese franchise has closed one of its three Richmond locations.

Pho 37 had two locations at Union Square but closed one in mid-March. It continues to offer noodle soup and other Vietnamese dishes at its remaining restaurant in the same shopping plaza.

"It is with mixed emotion that we announce the permanent closure of Pho 37 at this location on Monday, March 17, 2025," reads the closure notice.

"Thank you for your unwavering support over the years..."

Pho 37 opened its first location in Ironwood Plaza in 2014, followed by a second outpost at Union Square in 2018. They later expanded to Robson Street in Vancouver.

The Union Square restaurant operated until 2023, at which time it relocated to a larger space within the same shopping plaza.

Shortly after the move, the original unit was taken over by B House, which operated for just eight months before closing.

After the closure of B House, Pho 37 reopened in that space, operating two restaurants in the same shopping plaza.

This closure means there is only one Pho 37 at Union Square.

Today, the restaurant chain continues to serve patrons at its original Ironwood Plaza location, its newest Capstan Way location at Hazelbridge Way, and its Robson Street restaurant.
