Vancouver's long-standing Swiss Bakery has expanded. The Mount Pleasant business recently opened the doors to its second location, this time at UBC.
Swiss Bakery took over the former Boulevard Coffee Roasting Co at 5970 University Blvd. The new bakeshop launched its "soft open" mode back on October 21 and then shifted into its Grand Opening a few days later.
Known for its line-up of baked goods, including its contemporary signature item, "Frissants" (a hybrid croissant-donut), Swiss Bakery has been selling its sweet and savoury treats alongside artisanal bread since 1993.
Customers will find Swiss Bakery's cinnamon twists, pretzels, San Francisco sourdough loaves, cheese scones, cookies, turnovers, and more, along with Elysian coffee, at the new UBC location. The second Swiss Bakery is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
