With more than a full stack's worth of locations running in Ontario and Alberta, this daytime-only breakfast and lunch family restaurant is headed out west and will open its first franchised B.C. location in Metro Vancouver.
Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House is gearing up to enter British Columbia at 8045 204 St in Langley, in a new-build development called Yorkson Village.
Stacked, which began nearly a decade ago in the small Ontario town of Innisfil, operates on the simple premise of being open strictly between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily and offering a something-for-everyone kind of menu of breakfast and lunch dishes.
But when it comes to daytime eats, Stacked says: "Our specialty is our pancakes, waffles, and french toast."
"We have anything from our bacon and eggs all the way to our fresh burgers," Stacked owner Manish Mehta told Glacier Media sibling site BarrieToday in 2020, in a video where he shows how some of their signature dishes are made, including the Southwest Chicken Sandwich and Cinnamon Bun Pancakes.
The Stacked menu includes a range of classic breakfast options - Bennies, breakfast combo platters, omelettes, waffles, and pancakes - as well as their own creations, like New York Blueberry Cheesecake Pancakes or Strawberry Banana Nutella Cream French Toast. The restaurant also does lunchtime fare like sandwiches, burgers, wraps, and poutine.
Mehta's family has a long history in the Ontario restaurant biz, having founded a former longstanding Barrie spot Country Kettle, which closed up in 2015. Stacked began as a rebrand and a fresh vision for the family, drawing inspiration from popular U.S. breakfast chains. Now Stacked has nearly three dozen locations across the country.
An opening day hasn't been announced for Stacked in Langley just yet, but you can follow @stackedpancake on Instagram for updates.
