UPDATE Jan. 15: Dine Out Vancouver has opted to cancel the first planned weekend of the Street Food City event due to snow. The following is the announcement they made today:

"Hello snowy Vancouver! Unfortunately due to deep snow and ice covering šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl'e7énḵ Square outside the Vancouver Art Gallery, we have made the difficult decision to cancel opening weekend of Street Food City 9. The food trucks just can't handle all the snow and ice in the plaza, and it wouldn't be safe for crowds of people either."

"We're sorry for the inconvenience - we are disappointed we can't share our food-truck deliciousness with you this weekend," adds DOV.

All of the other Dine Out Vancouver events will continue as scheduled.

Get ready to feast on your feet, as downtown Vancouver transforms once again into the wintertime food truck fest Street Food City.

One of the many exciting events as part of the vibrant culinary programming offered during Dine Out Vancouver's festival, Street Food City turns the Vancouver Art Gallery Plaza (renamed šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énk Square) into a pop-up food truck pod daily from January 31 to February 6.

Participating street food vendors, in trucks and carts, will rotate throughout the week. That means you'll find a different line-up of vendors there daily. All together, 25 food trucks will be rolling in for this fun annual event that is now in its ninth year.

With more days and more choices, Street Food City is a great way to shake up your lunchtime routine. Grab some friends, co-workers, the kids, or a date and check out some of the regions best eats on four wheels.

You'll find everything from wood-fired pizzas to vibrant vegan eats, sweet treats, tacos (of course!), and much more.

Onsite seating is available, and the eating area is tented, which is perfect for Vancouver's unpredictable winter weather.

Tourism Vancouver, StreetFood Vancouver Society and the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association (DVBIA) present this informal branch of Dine Out Vancouver. Partial proceeds from the event will help support the BC Hospitality Foundation, which supports those in the province’s hospitality industry facing financial crisis due to health issues.

“Street Food City has continued to grow in response to the public’s incredible enthusiasm,” says Lucas Pavan, Dine Out Vancouver Festival Coordinator, Tourism Vancouver.
