Praise the lord and pass the soft serve: Sweet Jesus has finally opened their first Vancouver-area ice cream shop.
The doors to Sweet Jesus at Metrotown opened to customers for the first time on Wednesday, October 10.

The chain, which is operated by parent restaurant group Monarchs & Misfits, has been steadily expanding in and out of Toronto.
Known for their irreverent style (the name has been hard for some to swallow) as much as their outrageous ice cream treats, the soft serve shop is a beloved spot for treat-seekers and Instagrammers.
Sweet Jesus is beloved for their eye-catching soft serve cones decked out in all sorts of colourful toppings, like the Birthday Cake (vanilla soft serve, cream cheese icing, birthday cake bits, rainbow sprinkles) and the Hella Nutella (chocolate and vanilla twist soft serve, Nutella sauce, wafer cookies, Corn Flakes, toasted pistachios). They also serve loaded shakes and hot chocolate, and pack their ice cream concoctions into take-out pints.
A call to the shop confirmed they had indeed opened up on Wednesday, and are ready to swirl for Vancouver's many ice cream fans.
Sweet Jesus is inside Metropolis at Metrotown (4700 Kingsway, Burnaby) and is open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 9 pm and Sundays from 11 am to 7 pm.
