Rock n' roll royalty stopped by a famed Vancouver restaurant this weekend.
The Rolling Stones' front man Mick Jagger was at Vij's on Saturday night, July 6.
"(We) had the incredible honour of hosting the legendary Mick Jagger at Vij’s last night!," reads a post on VIj's Instagram page. "An unforgettable evening filled with great conversations, laughter, and of course, amazing food."
A photo shows Jagger posing with Vikram Vij.
"Thank you, Mick, for gracing us with your presence," reads the post.
Jagger, who's about to turn 81, was in Vancouver as the Rolling Stones are on another tour. They played a massive concert at BC Place on Friday, July 5.
It seems fellow Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood also enjoyed his time in Vancouver after the show.
"The streets are rocking in Vancouver tonight," he declares in a video.
Vij, and his restaurant, are legendary in their own right. Earlier this year the restaurant hosted actual royalty when Harry and Meghan Markle were in town (and they dined with local star Michael Bublé and his wife, Luisana Lopilato). Anthony Bourdain, when he came to Vancouver, also visited Vij.
The Michelin Guide-recommended Vij's, located for the past near-decade in an impressive space at 3106 Cambie St., is one of the city's most beloved and enduring modern Indian restaurants.
