After an international bubble tea chain closed up shop at 1210 Robson St., it didn't take long for a new concept to start moving in.
Jenjudan (aka Truedan), a Taiwanese bubble tea shop, closed down its location earlier this year after having been open for about four years. It was one of a handful of initial locations for the global brand in Metro Vancouver.
Now a new eatery, with something similar, is moving in to take the shuttered bubble tea shop's place.
Signage for Tiko Pizza has appeared on the windows, promising the new pizzeria is "coming soon."
Tiko Pizza has a presence online, but offers few clues as to what exactly is coming, aside from "wood fired Napoli"-style pizza, and that the restaurant will be: "Where pizza and tea pearls unite."
A countdown clock on the restaurant's website suggests the new store will open at the end of November or the beginning of December.
Tiko Pizza will offer dine-in, take-out, and delivery options.
The space at 1210 Robson has seen a lot of turnover in the last few years. Prior to being Jenjudan, the address was for a short time the French pastry shop L'Eclair de Genie.
