One of the country's favourite culinary competition shows will be back on the small screen for a seventh instalment: Top Chef Canada will return!
The Canadian Screen Award-nominated series was also Food Network Canada's #1 show this spring, according to Corus Entertainment, who revealed their 2018-19 programming line up June 4.
Based on the U.S. TV franchise, Top Chef Canada pits accomplished professional chefs from across the country in fast-paced and creative battles, with one chef finally emerging as the best of the best. Season 6, which just finished airing last month, crowned Newfoundland's Ross Larkin as Top Chef Canada, beating out fellow finalist Mark Singson of Vancouver.
Speaking of Vancouver, we are well-represented on the show with Mijune Pak, one of the slate of resident judges. She'll return for season seven alongside head judge Chef Mark McEwan, and judges Chris Nuttall-Smith, Janet Zuccarini, and host Eden Grinshpan. We recently spoke with Pak on the Vancouver Is Awesome Podcast, and got a lot of behind-the-scenes scoop about the show.
Top Chef Canada season 7 is now casting for chef-testants. The show airs on Food Network Canada.
