The Den Arcade and Drinkery in Vancouver is closing permanently on Feb. 28, 2025.

It seems time has run out for one of Vancouver's few arcade bars.

The Den Arcade and Drinkery has announced it'll be closing down by the end of February 2025 citing planned renovations at its 1348 Robson St. location inside the Barclay Hotel.

"We will be closing our doors forever on February 28," reads a post on Instagram. "With all that has happened with the building, they are being forced to do renovations beginning March 1."

When the renovations are done The Den won't be returning.

Before it closes there will be a "big games night" on Sat. Feb. 22. They note many of the games will be removed from the venue before the last day of business.

Filled with pinball machines, classic games like skeeball and darts, and video games, the Den opened in late 2017.

Vancouver doesn't have many arcade bars left; last fall (October 2024, to be precise), Glitch closed down in Kitsilano
