Breka Bakery has opened its easternmost location.
The 24/7 bakery cafe now has eight locations across the city as the newest spot, 2434 East Hastings St. opened recently; it's grand opening was Saturday, June 8.
"Good morning (Hastings) Sunrise! It's a brew-tiful day," announced the local chain on Instagram.
Signs appeared for the bakery cafe late last year, announcing the chain's expansion east.
Previously the easternmost Breka was the original, at 6533 Fraser St., which opened in 2006. While there was only one until the second opened in 2012, the chain has grown quickly in recent years, opening five since 2017.
Previously 2434 East Hastings St. was the home to the Polonia Sausage House; they've moved to 2745 E Hastings St.
