Ooh La La Donuts announced on June 1, 2024 the West Point Grey donut and treat shop was closed.

Fans of a small donut business with a cafe in West Point Grey were shocked to learn this weekend that the shop has closed down.

Owners of Ooh La La Donuts made the announcement Saturday (June 1) on Instagram

The shop, which was located at 4406 W 10th Ave, had been open since March 2023 and was a tenant in the distinct old blue building at the corner of 10th and Trimble that had once been the Point Grey Pharmacy.

Ooh La La Donuts did not get into specifics about the sudden closure, but indicated it was "due to circumstances completely out of [their] control."

The owners continued: "We have loved every day and our family will miss our happy little shop."

Ooh La La's menu mostly featured glazed yeast donuts in a variety of flavours, like London Fog, Tutti Fruiti (with Fruity Pebbles cereal), pineapple, and lavender. They also had a few chocolate cake-based donuts, like S'mores or Cookie Monster.

In addition to the donuts, Ooh La La sold freeze-dried candies and other treats in the shop.

In the wake of the sudden closure, Ooh La La's operators suggest the business will pick up again. "This is not the end just a transition and [we] will [be] making donuts again as soon as we can."
