After being shuttered for renovations and new art, Catoro, the Studio Ghibli-themed cat cafe on Broadway, has reopened.
The cafe, which features a cat forest with eight or so cats, offers people a chance to hang out with some furry friends six days a week (not Mondays, which are for catnaps). At the beginning of the year they renovated the forest, adding more feline infrastructure and extending their mural; now it covers all the walls in the forest.
"We hope this can encourage people to visit and benefit from the relaxing, de-stressing company of our rescue cats," says the business in a press release.
They've got 12 cats living at Catoro right now, but some are heading out after being adopted soon and a new group will be joining the team (the photos above capture some of the crew out on Tuesday).
As part of the re-opening there's a bubble tea deal.
"To celebrate, we’re running a Cat Forest admission deal: Get a FREE bubble tea of your choice with every weekday admission purchased, until March 31st," they say in a press release.
Catoro is located at 666 East Broadway.
