In 2005, Paul Martin was the Prime Minister, Canada legalized same-sex marriages, and Connor Bedard was born.
It also saw the opening of Budgies Burritos at 44 Kingsway near where it intersects with Main Street.
At the time, the little vegetarian spot sold burritos for between $4 and $6. And on March 8 those prices won't just be a distant memory.
"We’re celebrating with a special treat! For one day only, we're bringing back 2005 prices," Budgies shared with V.I.A. by email.
For context, burritos at Budgies run between $12.50 and $14.75 now.
The rolled-back prices will only be available on March 8 between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. (or while supplies last).
"A little chaotic, always welcoming, and fuelled by the love of our community, we’ve grown alongside the evolving Mount Pleasant neighbourhood," adds Budgies.
There are a couple of conditions, like only three burritos per person and in-person orders only.
