A B.C. man facing three dozen charges — including break and enters, flight from police, impaired driving, forgery and theft allegations — remains behind bars as lawyers expect pleas to be made Nov. 28.
Brad Donald Parisian’s charges include allegations connected with events in Vancouver, Kelowna, Surrey, Abbotsford, Maple Ridge and Richmond between July 2022 and March 2024.
He appeared briefly before Vancouver Provincial Court Judge Eugene Jamieson on Nov. 14.
Defence lawyer Olivia Whynot said she expected pleas to be entered at the next appearance.
The first charge dates to July 31, 2022 when it’s alleged Parisian and another man broke into in Abbotsford’s Pacific Summit College and committed theft.
It’s alleged that, on Aug. 12, 2022, Parisian broke into a construction site on Vancouver’s Oak Street and committed theft.
For Aug. 17, 2022, it’s alleged Parisian broke into a fashion company on Vancouver’s Glen Drive with intent to commit theft. It’s also alleged for that day, that Parisian broke into an outside lot at Vancouver’s Terminal Avenue Home Depot and committed theft.
In connection with an Aug. 23, 2022, it’s alleged Parisian broke into a Richmond apartment building on Landsdowne Road.
On the following day, it’s alleged Parisian and two others broke into a Surrey construction site and committed theft.
And, on the day after that, there is an allegation Parisian broke into a residence on Vancouver’s Barclay Street and committed theft.
Also for Aug. 25, 2022, Parisian allegedly stole mail after it was delivered but before it was in possession of the addressee. Further, there is an allegation Parisian was in possession of stolen property mail or documents obtained through a criminal offence.
For Oct. 22, 2022, it’s alleged Parisian and another man broke into a Surrey transport company and committed theft.
Charges from Jan. 3, 2024 involve Surrey motor vehicle-related incidents.
It’s alleged Parisian failed to stop for police, drove dangerously, used an allegedly forged Alberta driver’s licence. There are also two counts of failing to comply with a release order by having a driver’s licence not in his own name. There is also an impaired driving charge for that day.
For March 24, 2024, Parisian is charged with breaching release orders in Maple Ridge by failing to reside at and leaving an addiction treatment centre, failing to comply with an electronic supervision agreement and failing to report to a supervisor as directed by the court.
In connection with alleged events a week later, Parisian is charged with breaking into a Kelowna courier operation to commit theft.
He is also charged for March 31 with possession of a stolen truck. Further, he’s charged with failing to stop while being pursued by police, obstructing a police officer, having identity documents other than his own and being in the driver’s seat of a vehicle allegedly in violation of a court order.
