A B.C. man has pleaded guilty to assault in a Vancouver 2023 road rage incident.

Vancouver Provincial Court Judge Jennifer Oulton on March 18 gave Wallace Barry Cross an 18-month conditional discharge and 50 hours of community work service

Crown prosecutor Ryan Elias told Oulton that Cross had cut off another driver who then ran into the rear of his car.

He said Cross then got out of his car and assaulted the woman through her car window.

Cross then returned to his car and drove away, Elias said.

When arrested, Cross was charged with two counts of assault and failing to stop.

The court heard Cross was under heavy stress at the time of the incident as his film industry-related business had suffered during the pandemic as well as through an industry strike.

Elias said road rage incidents “are a problem in the community.”
