A Vancouver man charged with multiple crimes has pleaded guilty to committing an indecent act, assault, thefts and uttering threats.
Best Prince, 23, was arrested on the University Endowment Lands for allegedly violating the sole condition on a release order — not to be on the University Endowment Lands.
He appeared before Vancouver Provincial Court Judge Reginald Harris Dec. 19 to enter a series of guilty pleas.
Prince appeared in person, clad in red prison sweats represented by lawyer Andrew Coulthard.
His first guilty plea was to committing an indecent act on Aug. 7.
For a Sept. 13 incident, Prince was charged with assault but pleaded guilty to a lesser included charge of uttering threats.
In connection with Sept. 14 incidents, Prince was charged with committing an assault while carrying a weapon, and with uttering a threat to cause death or bodily hard to two people. He pleaded guilty.
Prince also pleaded guilty to thefts from the Holt Renfrew clothing store and from a cannabis dispensary.
He was released Aug. 2 and Aug. 24. On Sept. 21, he was ordered as part of bail conditions to undergo a psychiatric assessment a directed by a bail supervisor.
He has remained in custody since his most recent arrest.
Harris approved the ordering of a pre-sentencing report.
Prince returns to court Jan. 23.
