Who doesn't want a chance to snag a designer bag at a major discount?
Mine and Yours, a popular luxury consignment store in Vancouver, is having a warehouse sale for the first time with discounts up to 90 per cent off.
From Aug. 25 to Sept. 5, designers and luxury brands such as Gucci, Prada, Chanel, Dior and others will be marked down to significantly cheaper prices.
While the sale is filled with pre-loved designer items like bags, shoes, clothing and accessories, there is also a lot of luxury to scroll through. So we've done the scrolling for you and found some major discounts on some beautiful pieces.
Under $200
The only item we found that was a worthy buy and under $100 is this cute pair of Miu Miu yellow leather-heeled sandals. With a criss-crossed toe adorned with yellow and black bows, the summery shoes dropped from $150 to $75. Though the warmer months are coming to a close, sunshine hues will always brighten up any wardrobe.
This Stella McCartney crossbody bag is a big deal. Discounted by approximately 75 per cent, the woven red bag is marked down from $495 to a sweet price of $125 and is a stylish pop of colour.
It's hard to believe you can purchase red-bottoms for less than $200, but these beautiful clear-trim red slingback heels exist and they're on sale for $175.
With the fall season upon us, black boots in all lengths and heels are about to make their annual comeback, and these Alexander Wang leather boots for $180 have a floral edge that make them a unique autumn shoe. Another great fall find are these black and white gingham pants by J.W Anderson for only $140. The print goes hand in hand with the flannels of fall.
For the statement-makers, these Isabel Marant wedge hightop sneakers for $180 are a throwback to the designer's original trendsetter days. Who said this comfortable heel alternative can't make a comeback?
Demand for Off-White items has skyrocketed since Virgil Abloh's passing, making this red denim dress a really good deal. You can own a piece of Off-White for only $190.
Notable shoes
The most commonly sought after luxurious designer items tend to be shoes and handbags. Although these items may exceed your budget by a hundred dollars, these shoes are within an arguably reasonable price range considering their significant discounts.
Just as these red-bottom terry cloth pumps discounted by more than $150 are a dream, so are these Christian Dior pink woven leather heels marked down by $200.
This pair of black satin heels with unique ankle detailing is an eye-grabber for nights out while these pink and red tonal Jimmy Choo pumps are lovely for the workplace or casual settings.
The most noteworthy finds, however, are these three remarkably beautiful shoes, which happen to coincide with the upcoming auburn season. This pair of Paris Texas emerald green scrunch boots makes quite the statement for casual wear with its $120 markdown, whereas these Christian Dior mary jane pumps complement old school, academia styles that may revive in the fall. Not to mention, the ruby shoes are selling for around $700 less than their estimated retail price of $1,200.
Lastly, how can you resist these YSL Opyum 110 pumps? The shoe and the discount make this a personal favourite (the heels, just like the mary jane pumps, are selling for around $700 less than their estimated retail price, too).
Handbags worth bagging
Here are two classic Louis Vuitton Neverfull bags worth noting: one for nearly $1,500 (discounted by $185) and the other for nearly $1,400 (discounted by $600). Ultimately, the latter one is a better deal but considering that both bags are consignment, some shoppers may want to have options.
We found a handful of smaller bags with an impressive discount, like this Christian Dior pink satin Lady Dior bag that's selling for 34 per cent off at $850 and this Saint Laurent red heart clutch for 25 per cent off at $1,165 (and an estimated retail price of $2,000). Slightly larger, this Gucci leather SoHo tote bag for 33 per cent off at $1,195 is a stylish deal despite being on the pricier side (along with the YSL heart clutch).
A personal favourite is this eye-catching Alexander McQueen navy toy soldier bag. A designer bag is a statement, and that is this bag. Seemingly part of the F/W 2008 collection inspired by "The British Empire, Queens of England, the Duke of Wellington. Toy soldiers and punk princesses," the collection notes according to a description by the V&A, this bag is an element of McQueen's fairytale. It's also $1,075 (nearly $300 off).
One-of-a-kind finds
Some luxury lovers prefer fun items with quirky and cool-looking details. These two Charlotte Olympia clutches are just that; a leather banana clutch with a strawberry pull tab and a two-piece glasses clutch. Both are under $250.
All this Thom Browne shift dress is missing is the comic makeup look that was once trending. At first glance, you can't tell it's a dress (it's quite an illusion). It appears more like a green blazer and blue pleated skirt that are drawn onto the body, like a character out of a comic book. It's also worth over $8,000 and is selling for $475.
