A Tesla is in car jail this week after its youthful driver was caught driving twice the speed limit up Gaglardi Way in Burnaby.
The vehicle was headed east on Gaglardi near Broadway when police clocked it going 119 km/h in a 60 km/h zone, according to Burnaby RCMP.
The N driver, an 18-year-old male, was ticketed for excessive speeding.
The Tesla, registered to his parent, was towed and will be impounded for seven days, police said.
