Drugs, guns and cash were seized in Metro Vancouver police traffic stops.

A B.C. police gang enforcement squad says it has seized a significant amount of drugs, cash and guns as a result of enforcement in multiple Metro Vancouver communities.

“These seizures were the result of traffic stops and all investigations are ongoing,” spokesman Cpl. Sarbjit K. Sangha said.

The Uniform Gang Enforcement Team, part of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit - British Columbia, said work from March 18-24, 2025, resulted in seizures of:

• a shot gun;

• a semi-automatic pistol;

• a replica firearm;

• cash totalling over $33,000;

• a Tesla Model 3;

• 107 grams of suspected cocaine;

• 147 grams of suspected fentanyl;

• additional suspected drugs included methamphetamine, illicit cannabis, psilocybin, prescription medication, ketamine, oxycodone and crystal meth

• a smoke grenade; and,

• five knives, two cans of bear spray, two digital scales and multiple cellphones.

The seizures took place in Surrey, New Westminster, Langley, Chilliwack, Maple Ridge and North Vancouver.

“Seizing illegal drugs, cash and firearms disrupts criminal enterprises and diminishes the ability of organized crime to harm communities,” said Sangha.
