This incident has since been cleared.
A public transit bus that spun out on Highway 1 has now been moved to the right lane.
Previously, the vehicle was blocking westbound traffic near the Mountain Highway overpass in North Vancouver. Since the bus has been moved, two lanes of westbound traffic are now passing through.
Just after 3 p.m. on Thursday, DriveBC warned drivers to expect heavy delays, as the bus was blocking most of the highway. Connecting routes, including the Second Narrows bridge, should be affected.
The bus appears to have lost traction due to a recent covering of snow on the roadway.
There's no word yet on when the incident will be fully cleared.
