A deadly crash that claimed the lives of three people on a B.C. bridge was captured on video.
Police believe the three-vehicle collision occurred on the east end of the Pattullo Bridge in Metro Vancouver at 10:07 p.m. on Feb. 14.
The Surrey Police Service confirmed three men, between the ages of 18 and 20, died at the scene and one person was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The crash involved two passenger vehicles and one transport truck.
Dash-camera footage from the transport truck driver shows a white car travelling in the opposite direction. The driver of the white car hits the median divider and collides sideways into the oncoming truck.
According to police, the driver of the transport truck was unhurt and stayed at the scene.
Surrey Police Service Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton told Glacier Media "investigators have not ruled out any contributing factors at this still early stage."
"Speed, like others potential contributing causal factors, is one thing they are examining based on the current evidence collected," he said.
Both the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) and the RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) were called to investigate.
Anyone who has information, witnessed the collision or has dash-cam footage is asked to contact Surrey Police Service at 604-599-0502.
