Plug your headphones in, sit back, relax and take a ride back in time.
The year: 1986. The place: Vancouver. The event: Expo 86.
This is the full 30-minute video "postcard" put together by filmmaker Michael Collier of Yaletown Productions to promote Vancouver and Expo 86.
In it you'll find an extended glimpse into that very special time in the city's history, including Prince Charles and Princess Diana's royal visit, looks inside the pavilions and exhibits, lots of sweeping overhead city shots, and Expo's concerts and fireworks. There's also a look at the work that went into re-shaping the city for Expo.
If you didn't get to go to Expo in 1986, or you did and want to see it again, this is the perfect video for you. (It's also ideal if you love bad 80s hair, fashion, and music.)
