Granville Street Mall
The Granville Street Mall opened in 1975, closing o the section between Hastings and Nelson to most traffic except for buses, taxis and emergency vehicles. With scores of new trees planted along the road, the move proved popular with pedestrians who were out for a show at one of the many theatres.
