Back in 2019, Kylie Cosmetics vending machines were introduced to airports all over the United States. People could pick up a lip kit or eye shadow as they passed through Las Vegas, Miami, Chicago, and other major cities but they never made it to Canada.
The concept, however, is one that a Vancouver-based lash company is bringing to Holt Renfrew for a limited time.
Lash Dash will be hosting a vending machine pop-up at the luxury retailer from Oct. 29 to Nov. 12. Holt Renfrew has never stocked lashes before and is choosing a local Vancouver brand to start.
"We have personally designed and created an absolutely stunning machine, standing over six feet tall, and over five feet wide," says a media release. "This state-of-the-art machine dispenses vegan, clean, ecological strip eyelashes, and a hypoallergenic adhesive as well as a lash applicator to assist our customers in the application process."
The lashes come in four different types—regular mink, cruelty-free mink, vegan, and ecological—and have dozens of styles ranging in volume and fullness to choose from. The adhesive and applicator kit is sold separately.
The Holt Renfrew vending machine will only stock the vegan and ecological lashes.
