Gastown was home to Vancouver fashion brand Oak + Fort's first-ever brick-and-mortar location. In the 12 years since it opened the local company has expanded across Canada and into the U.S. with over 30 storefronts.
Now, they are re-launching the Gastown flagship after a massive 5,000-square-foot upgrade.
Oak + Fort is known for its modern minimalism and sleek everyday pieces—it's what the It Girl of Vancouver would wear to work. The new store aims to reflect the aesthetic with bright and contemporary design details and thoughtfully curated lifestyle items like homewares and accessories alongside the womenswear, menswear, and, jewellery.
The new flagship will also stock Oak + Fort's environmentally conscious collection, OAK Refined.
The store seeks to connect with its Gastown roots by introducing a Gastown Museum concept that features artwork by local Vancouver artists.
It officially opens to the public on Saturday, August 13 with a grand opening celebration. The first 100 customers that arrive on Saturday will receive a complimentary tote bag and free floral bouquets will be offered to customers with each purchase while supplies last. Drinks will be provided by Coffee Bike Vancouver, and a local DJ will be playing.
