A new townhome in the Capstan neighbourhood iof Richmond is part of a grand prize for a lottery raising funds for the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation.
The winner of the 2023 Millionaire Lottery can choose from grand prize options of either a home in one of nine B.C. cities, or $2.7 million in cash.
If the winner chooses Richmond, their $2.9 million prize package will include a 1,712-square-foot townhome in the Torino - Pinnacle Living at Capstan Village development.
The two-bedroom plus den and two-bathroom townhome at 3328 Cascallen Road is valued at more than $1.48 million including taxes.
The development was designed by Bingham & Hill Architects and was completed in 2021. It includes secure underground parking and amenities including a fitness centre, a yoga studio, party and social rooms, a study lounge and tai chi and yoga gardens.
Apart from the townhome, the prize package also includes $40,000 cash for furnishings, a $40,000 Travel Best Bets gift card, a 2023 Tesla Model Y and $1,300,000 in cash.
A total of 330,000 tickets are available and must be purchased while the buyer is physically in B.C.
Proceeds from the lottery will fund patient care and research at Vancouver General Hospital, UBC Hospital and the G.F. Strong Rehabilitation centre.
The final sales deadline for the grand prize is midnight on Jan. 11, 2024 and the draw will take place on Jan. 31, 2024. A complete searchable database of winners will be published online on or before Feb. 9, 2024.
