A Vancouver school was transported 70 years in the past for the filming of a prequel series to one of the most successful movie musicals of all time.
Photos recently posted to social media show a parking lot at Vancouver Technical School filled with 1950s-style cars and a school bus along with film crews working around the campus. Confirmed by Hollywood North Buzz, the cars are there to set the scene for Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, a prequel to the 1978 classic.
Rise of the Pink Ladies takes place four years before the original movie and focuses on, "four fed-up, outcast girls" who "dare to have fun on their own terms, sparking a moral panic that will change Rydell High forever,” according to the series' description.
